Evora is a charity providing care, free of charge to individuals with complex life-limiting conditions, irrespective of their condition or place of care.
Care is provided for patients residing in the Southern Health Trust Area, from Kilkeel to Ballygawley and from Crossmaglen to Portadown.
Services include: Support to Patient, Carers and those Bereaved. This can be delivered in your home, one of our Wellbeing Centres in Newry or Dungannon or the Inpatient Unit in Newry.
We care for almost 1,000 patients annually.
More than 80% of the income goes towards direct patient care.
We rely heavily on the generosity of local people and the support of a network of over 250 volunteers who help our staff deliver our services in many different ways – from patient care to fundraising.

Southern Area Hospice Services was founded in 1989 following the closure of what previously was a Maternity Unit at St. John’s House.
