Job Description
We currently have a temporary position for a Fundraising Officer, starting ASAP and lasting until October 2026, with possibility of it being extended into 2027.
The successful candidate will work directly with individuals, groups, and organisations across the Dungannon and Armagh area to build strong local relationships, identify new fundraising opportunities, and develop sustainable income streams to support the growth and future needs of hospice services in the local community. You will also work with the wider Income Generation Team on flagship campaigns and events.
You will assist fellow team members to organise key events and flagship fundraising campaigns, as well as create and manage engaging content for our social media platforms, by using Canva to design eye catching posts and supporting materials. It is essential that candidates are a “people person” be able to build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, support groups and individuals to encourage ongoing support.

There will be occasional weekend and evening work, so flexibility is essential.

Qualifications Required
- A degree (or equivalent) plus 1 year’s relevant experience in a fundraising, event management, PR or sales environment with a preference for B2B or B2C sales rather than retail. OR
- 2 years relevant experience in a fundraising, event management, PR or sales environment, with a preference for B2B or B2C sales rather than retail.
Experience and Skills
Essential Criteria
- Excellent communicator – confident and skilled in all aspects of communication (including social media), to a range of audiences of varying sizes
- Good IT skills – particularly Microsoft Office, Photoshop or other design software
- A flare for creativity, innovation and attention to detail
- Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Resilient and determined to achieve
- Able to work to deadlines and to prioritise work accordingly
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Confident public speaker and networker.
- Full driving license with eligibility to drive in the UK and access to a car for work purposes with business insurance(or able to demonstrate other means of fulfilling this aspect of the role)
