Inspiring Twin Sisters Set to Take on London Marathon in Memory of Their Dad

Twin sisters Katie and Anna Rowland are raising Over £10,000 (and Counting) for Evora Hospice

Twin sisters Katie and Anna Rowland, , aged just 19, are preparing to take on the iconic London Marathon this April in support of Southern Area Hospice, raising funds in memory of their beloved dad, Jim Rowland, who received care from the Hospice during his illness.

The determined duo, from Glassdrummond, Co. Armagh, first set their sights on the marathon while studying for their A-levels. Their drive to give back to the Hospice that supported their family during such a difficult time has inspired friends, family, and even local businesses to get behind them — and so far, they’ve raised an incredible £10,000.

Their fundraising efforts received a major boost from CT1 – The Snag List Eliminator, who generously donated £7,000 toward their total.

Katie and Anna said:

The care and compassion the Southern Area Hospice showed our dad and our whole family meant the world to us. Running the London Marathon is our way of honouring his memory and giving something back. We never imagined we would raise this much — the support has been overwhelming. A huge thank you to CT1 and to everyone who’s donated. We’re so proud to be running for such an incredible cause.

Katie and Anna will line up alongside thousands of other runners on marathon day, fuelled by determination and love. Every step they take is a tribute to their dad’s memory and a vital contribution to the Hospice’s life-changing work.
