Win £10,000 Raffle Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions outline the Evora Hospice rules. By entering this draw all entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

The Promoter

The Prize

  • The prize is non-transferable and non-negotiable.
  • There will be one winner of £10,000, payable by cheque, issued by Evora to the winner when validity has been confirmed. The £10,000 being the amount donated by AIB bank.
  • Any potential tax implications are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

Entry

  • All entrants must be over 16 years of age and be resident in the UK.
  • Multiple entries are permitted.
  • Other than members of the Income Generation team and members of the Senior Leadership team in Hospice, Staff and volunteers of Evora and AIB are eligible to enter this draw as the draw is independently verified.
  • The closing date for draw entries via online is Wednesday 12th March 2025 at 2pm. Entries received online after this time will not be entered into the draw and the payment will be assumed as a donation to Evora Hospice. All postal tickets to be received at Evora no later than Monday 10th March at 5pm.
  • This draw will take place on Friday 14th March at 3pm in Evora Hospice.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to change the closing date and/or the draw date if necessary. Any changes will be displayed on the Evora website.
  • An application for draw entry may be declined for any reason at the discretion of the promoter.
  • Entering this draw does not mean you are entered into any other lottery/raffle/draw run by Evora Hospice.
  • One entry into the draw costs £10, all subsequent tickets also cost £10, entries of less than £10 will be assumed as a donation to the Hospice.
  • All money generated by the draw will go towards funding the excellent work of Evora Hospice for it’s patients and their families.:

To enter online, please

  • Go to the website https://southernareahospice.enthuse.com/10kyourway#!/ and select the number of entries.

To enter via direct mail, please:

  • Return the entry reply slip you received in the post.
  • Return your payment of £10 per entry (1 entry or multiples thereof)
  • Entries sent by post should be posted by Wednesday 5th March to ensure inclusion in the draw. All tickets returned late will be void and funds accepted as a donation to the Hospice.

To enter by telephone please:

  • Ring Evora Hospice Fundraising Department on 028 3026 7711 Monday to Friday 9-5pm and ask for an entry for £10,000 Draw
  • Make your donation by giving your debit card details over the phone (Minimum £10 for each entry or multiples thereof).
  • Entrants must provide their name, address and contact number. Entries with insufficient contact details cannot be entered.

Choosing a winner

  • The draw will take place at the Hospice, at 3pm Friday 14th March in the presence of Hospice and AIB Bank representatives.
  • All eligible entries from the various channels will be amalgamated, confirmed by a Hospice official, and entered onto an excel spreadsheet.
  • A Number Generator will be used to randomly select the winner. The first number drawn will be the winner of the prize.
  • The decision of the promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  • The winner of the draw will be notified either in person, by telephone, email or by letter at the promoter’s earliest convenience.
  • If a prize winner cannot be contacted or is not available within a reasonable time (2 weeks from first attempt to contact by promotor) using the contact details provided (postal address/email address/telephone number), a redraw will occur.
  • By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to take part in promotional activity with Evora Hospice and their charity supporter AIB Bank. These organisations reserve the right to use the name, town, and photograph of the winner in any publicity unless prior notification has been received, without identifying an address. Proof of identity must be provided.
  • The winner must claim the prize personally. The prize must not be claimed by a third party on the winner’s behalf.
  • The winner will be announced on Evora Hospice Facebook page as well as being published on Evora Hospice news section of the Hospice website.
  • Cancellation of Entry and Refunds
  • All draw entries are final and no refunds for the entry fee will be made at any time under any circumstances.
  • All entrants acknowledge that their payment to enter the draw does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
  • The promotor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules.

Liability

Evora Hospice and AIB Bank shall not be liable to the entrant for any loss or damage suffered or arising from any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery method used by Evora Hospice or the entrant or any other event beyond the reasonable control of Evora Hospice.

The promoter its agents, or distributors shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death resulting from accepting the prize.

Eligibility

The draw is open to all residents in UK aged 16 years or over, should a winning number be drawn contra to this criterion the win will be void and a redraw will occur.

The promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants if their conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw.

Players Responsibility

Entrants are solely responsible for providing the promoter with their accurate and up-to-date contact details. The promoter will in no way be liable for any failure or inability to contact any entrant due to any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrant has provided.

Entrants should promptly inform the promoter of any changes to their contact information.

Data Protection

Records of draw entrants’ details will be retained by the promoter for at least three years.

By entering the draw, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the draw entry may be held and used by the promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the draw.

The winners’ name, images, and locations may be used for publicity. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the promoter.

Complaints Procedure

Any complaints relating to Evora Hospice £10,000 prize draw be sent in writing to the Director of Development at Evora Hospice giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation.

General

  • The promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, with the latest version available on the website.
  • The promoter reserves the right to exclude you from participating in the draw and any future draws, if there has been a breach of the terms and conditions.
  • The promotor reserves the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel, or amend the draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
