Marianne’s Swing and Stride for Hope Raises an Incredible £108,750 for Evora Hospice
Pictured are James and Marianne Tiernan with their daughters, Teghan and Sarah, presenting a cheque for the outstanding sum of £108,750 to Siobhan McArdle, Evora Hospice.
The same amount was also donated to Pretty in Pink, bringing the total raised by the event to a phenomenal £217,500.
The entire community came together to support this remarkable fundraising effort. While there are far too many people to mention individually, Marianne was keen to express her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed, volunteered, sponsored, attended, or supported the event in any way. Marianne said:
Just a few months ago, I asked my family and friends to help me organise an event for two charities that are very close to my heart, Pretty in Pink and Evora Hospice. I only had to ask once, and they rallied together to organise the brilliant Swing and Stride for Hope. I am so proud of all our efforts, which have helped us raise this incredible amount of money. Thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes or came along on the day. I am very lucky and grateful to be surrounded by so much love and support.
Everyone at Evora Hospice would like to extend their sincere thanks to Marianne and her family, the event committee, and all those who supported the event. We are truly humbled by this extraordinary generosity and immensely grateful to receive such a significant donation.
This amazing contribution will make a real difference to the lives of local patients and families, helping us continue to provide compassionate care and support to those who need it most.
